Our Purpose, Values and Principles

CrossFit GVA was created in 2011 with a very clear objective: to have a consequent impact on the lives of its members by making them fitter, stronger, healthier and capable of meeting all the physical challenges of everyday life. In practice, this means we want to help them get (back) into shape! Our values and our mission are intrinsically linked.


Our coaches are all passionate about sport and the impact it has on our lives. We want to pass this same passion on to our members.


Through training, we help our members get into shape. We want to motivate them to train hard, but first we want to teach them how. That means teaching them the basics of movement and the right progressions to keep them fit for life.


We believe strongly in what we do without taking ourselves too seriously. Training should have a positive impact on your life, but it should also be fun, enjoyable and rewarding.

Everyone is welcome at CrossFit GVA, regardless of nationality, origin or fitness level. Our community thrives on a shared passion for the sport.


CrossFit GVA was the first CrossFit gym to open in Geneva. We aim to maintain this level of innovation by continually developing our model for the benefit of our members.

What can you expect from CrossFit GVA?

You can expect us to give you the tools you need to improve your fitness. That means more than just working hard and exercising, it means taking the time to understand why and how to train. We want to teach you the fundamentals of fitness and give you a foundation of movement that will serve you well for the rest of your life.

You can expect individual attention in a group class. You will undoubtedly be training with others whose fitness level is higher than yours. However, the coach will accompany you and suggest an appropriate program. He or she will correct you and give you tips to help you perform the movements correctly.

You can expect to train in a competitive (in a good way) yet fun and friendly atmosphere.

What do we expect from you?

We expect you to come with an open attitude to learning and progress. More than anything, we want to help you improve your fitness. Our coaches are all experienced and qualified. Pay attention to what they say and let them do their job.

We don't expect you to come with a good level of fitness. We understand that starting CrossFit can be intimidating, but a lot of people think that you have to be in shape to start, and that's not true - quite the opposite. Our mission is to help you improve whatever your fitness level.

We expect you to leave your ego at the door. This is easier said than done, but if you've never done CrossFit before, you're a beginner. Even if you've done or are doing another sport, you're a beginner at CrossFit. That means you need to take an open approach to learning, even if it means backing off at first to make better progress later. Trust us and you'll make more progress than you could ever hope for.
